Since 1991, Chilliwack & District Seniors’ Resources Society (CDSRS) has been a charitable organization providing programs, services, resources, and activities to seniors in the Chilliwack area. Our goal is to encourage seniors to be active, socialize, learn, and access support.
We are a full-time office staff of 5 and a team of 96 dedicated volunteers, striving to make a positive difference in the lives of seniors. Together, we support and advocate for older adults, nurturing their well-being and creating meaningful connections within the community.

Kelly Velonis joined CDSRS in 2018 as Executive Director. Her role is to work collaboratively with the Board of Directors to ensure we are providing the services needed in the community for seniors and families. She is a long-time Chilliwack resident who is dedicated to her community and a passionate advocate for seniors. With her commitment and advocacy, she works to empower and enrich the lives of seniors within our community.
Gloria is the Bus Tour Coordinator for CDSRS. She has combined her passion for travel and love of working with seniors to secure the position. She worked with seniors at a retirement complex and ran her own bus tour company for 7 years before joining the Chilliwack Seniors Resources for 9 years. With her 23 years of experience working with seniors, she takes pride in creating new travel experiences for our members. Gloria works alongside a fabulous team of co-workers and volunteers that help to make these trips possible.
Cari Moore is the Programs and Volunteer Coordinator for CDSRS. She has been serving the not-for-profit sector for almost 20 years in administration, program coordination, and volunteer management. Her passion for helping people and giving back to the community inspired her to join the CDSRS team. Cari is a volunteer with Soroptimist International of Chilliwack, on the Board of Volunteer BC, Director of Volunteer Fraser Valley, and the current weather girl at ChillTV. She feels grateful for the warm and welcoming reception she has received since joining the organization, and is excited to get to know our program participants, volunteers, and staff.
